The Padwell FolkMoot.

Hopefully you’re all aware of our regular FolkMoot evenings already (second and fourth Thursday evening of every month, just in case it’s slipped through the net) – well, things are set to get considerably more impressive with immediate effect.

We’re delighted to welcome Geoff Easeman on to our team – established stalwart of the local music scene, and now responsible for co-ordinating FolkMoot goings-on.

Geoff has opted to give a little more structure to the evenings than was initially the case, and they will now alternate between genuine open session affairs, where all-comers are welcome to take their place centre-stage or to just admire the efforts of those who choose to do so, and evenings with guest artists drawn from Geoff’s wide-ranging contact list of talented local artists. Floor spots are also available for these guest evenings, available on a first come, first served basis

Be mindful of the fact that we have a broad and inclusive take on folk music – acoustic roots, contemporary and traditional, folk and blues, country and world – if you like playing or just listening to music that comes from the heart and soul then The Padwell FolkMoot is the place to be.

Admission to either format of FolkMoot will be free, but on guest nights there will be a collection to pay for the artist and probably a raffle too. The FolkMoots will take place in the restaurant area with its friendly cabaret-style seating so you can listen, play if you want, drink and eat if you want – anything from a snack to a full restaurant meal.

Future Dates
